Agri-Trend Agrology Welcomes Katia Bigney as new Agri-Coach

We are pleased to welcome Katia Bigney, BSc Ag, AAg to the AGRI-TREND™ Agri-Coach team. Katia graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with a major in Food Science. In addition to an ongoing course load to stay current with industry and employee safety, Katia completed a Diploma in Computerized Accounting at the Academy of Learning. She is currently enrolled in a Crop Science Consultant Program at the University of Saskatchewan.

Katia's career has ranged from that of a Senior Consultant in federally inspected food processing plants directing HACCP/Production teams towards CFIA and KRAFT HACCP certification in Canada, USA and the EU, to a Junior Agronomist position providing technical support to customers seeking crop protection, soil fertility and grain storage solutions. Most recently, Katia worked as a Field Services Associate for Western Ag Labs in the Estevan area in 2008 and 2009.

Katia is looking forward to working with AGRI-TREND™ and Wigmore Farms, putting her experience and knowledge in Agronomy to use with local farmers.
