Written by Candice Nadeau Wednesday, 15 April 2009Sierra grew up on her parent’s grain farm near Lyleton in SW MB. When she was 16 she started soil testing for the local elevator which led to 9 years in crop supplies and something she didn’t expect which was a life long love for agriculture.
At 18, she bought her first ¼ section of land and thought that farming was going to be her life, only to find out that she was truly passionate about helping producers achieve their farming goals.
In 2000, Sierra entered the Crop Technology program at Lakeland College, Vermillion AB, and in 2001 managed Lakeland’s Student Managed Farm.
Upon graduating she returned home to Manitoba and continued to work with was then Agricore United as a CSR for 6 years.
Sierra and her husband just bought his parent’s cattle farm at Arrow River, MB. Their hope it to give their daughter, Scotlin, the way of life they love so much and continue to work with area producers with the knowledge and technology that Agri-Trend has to offer.
