AGRI-TREND® Agrology USA is pleased to welcome: Jim Harbour as AGRI-TREND® Senior Agri-Coach® based in Lincoln, NE to our growing network!

Jim grew up in the Intermountain region of Montana, Colorado, and Wyoming. Jim’s extent of farming was pushing hay bales out of the way when he was 5 years old. After that, the family moved back into town. Jim enjoys fly fishing, P90X-type exercising, and spending time with his family. Jim received his BSc and MSc in Soil Science from the University of Wyoming, and his PhD in Weed Science from North Dakota State University. Upon graduation, Jim worked for NDSU as an Extension Specialist – Crop Protection Specialist. Jim then accepted a position with DuPont Crop Protection as a Field Development Manager and assisted his small-plot research teammates developing 28 herbicides (new discovery and market improvement), 5 insecticides, 6 fungicides, and 1 seed treatment product. Jim worked with many various crops in ND, MN, SD, NE, IA, KS, CO, NM, & WY, as well as in range and pasture. After nearly 14 years with DuPont, Jim changed career paths and accepted a Region Agronomist position with WinField in eastern NE. The experiences with Crop Protection products, research, and Agronomic training will benefit AGRI-TREND with his knowledge base. Why? Because Jim is persistent when solving problems for the Client, Coach, and Company; improving efficiency provides him satisfaction and improves AGRI-TREND’s ROI; diving into the research results reveals the story and answers to the questions of Who, What, Where, When, Why, and How; and once the question is answered, Jim is able to tell the customer What rates, What expectations, What red flags, What’s the impact, and What’s the next step. Jim looks forward to working with his new AGRI-TREND Network Team by helping in as many ways as possible. Jim will reside with his family in Lincoln, NE.
