    AGRI-TREND Agrology is pleased welcome Dr. Grant Jackson as our newest Senior Agri-Coach

    Dr. Grant D. Jackson, Professor Emeritus of Agronomy, recently retired from Montana State University, Western Triangle Ag. Research Center (WTARC), Conrad, MT.

    Grant and his spouse of 46 years, Corline are the parents and grandparents of two children. He was reared on a winter wheat and livestock farm in the Oklahoma Panhandle and was honorably discharged from the US Army with the rank of Captain.

    Dr. Jackson received his B.S. degree in Agronomy, Soils Option in 1968 from Oklahoma Panhandle State University, his M.S. degree in Soils in 1970 from Montana State University and PhD. in crop and Soil Science in 1974 from Montana State University.  Previously, Dr. Jackson was Superintendent and Extension Agronomist, Powel Research and Extension Center, Powell, WY.

    Some of his research accomplishments are as follows: no-till methods of planting small grains and row crops, developed P fertilizer guidelines for winter wheat, spring wheat, and spring barely using sodium bicarbonate extractable P soil test, developed regression equations to predict yield and protein levels of spring and winter wheat relative to N fertilizer additions and Nitrate-N soil test, determined the effect of N on malting barley yield, grain protein content, and kernel plumpness allowing the development of N management recommendations for producing dryland malting barley that would meet industry specifications for grain protein content and kernel plumpness, and developed camelina and canola guidelines to N, S, and P fertilizations.

    AGRI-TREND Agrology Inc. Welcomes New AGRI-COACH, Andrew Lybeck!


    Andrew enthusiastically joins the AGRI-TREND team and looks forward to providing excellent service and agronomic advice to the producers of western Montana. He is a native of the Flathead Valley, where he and his wife are actively involved in his family’s fifth generation farm and ranch.

    Andrew graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Montana State University – Bozeman. While attending college he worked for the USDA developing feeds and ingredients for aquaculture. During the last two summers Andrew assisted AGRI-COACH Markus Braaten with scouting, tissue testing, and soil interpretation.

    Andre has been hired by CHS Kailspell, the local farmer’s cooperative, to provide high level agronomic serviced with the help of the AGRI-TREND Network.

    AGRI-TREND GEO Solutions Inc. Welcomes New Geo-Coach, Jesse Klok!

    Jesse grew up on a hog farm outside of Taber, AB working in the barn and growing grain on a couple quarters. He then wanted to see the world a bit so he moved to England where he worked on a mixed dairy farm that had 150 cows, and 500 sheep for two years.

    Coming back to Canada, Jesse was a surveyors helper and eventually took Geomatices Engineering at Lethbridge College and went surveying for three years with Trimble GPS systems.

    Jesse now lives in Medicine Hat with his wife, Desiree, and enjoys spending time with friend, golfing and watching his Edmonton Oilers!!

    AGRI-TREND Marketing Inc. Welcomes New Market-Coach, Randy Greenwald!

    Randy grew up on a farm just outside of Scott, Saskatchewan. He obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the U of S in 1979. He started renting land while going to university and operated a successful grain and cow-calf operation for 30 years. Randy has always had a love for the markets whether it be trading them or talking to fellow producers about them. An opportunity to teach marketing courses and workshops on futures and options came in the early 1990’s and Randy continued this part time until 2006.

    In 2006 the family farm was sold and Randy decided to further his interests in the markets and trading by becoming a commodity broker with MF Global Canada. He now lives in Saskatoon and enjoys family time, sports and trading commodities.

    Randy looks forward to putting his years of marketing and trading experience to good use in implementing the strategic marketing plan to help clients achieve their goals and reduce their market risk.
