    AGRI-TREND Agrology Ltd. Welcomes new Agri-Coach®, Michelle Dammen!

    Michelle grew up in the Flathead on her family’s farm and ranch near Creston Montana. She spent many summers working on the farm and at the Northwestern Agricultural Research Center on projects including wheat breeding and Orange Wheat Blossom Midge research. After finishing up her Masters in Agricultural Education, she spent time working with Extension and the Gallatin Conservation District consulting with small acreage landowners.

    Her family has benefitted from AGRI-TREND services for several years and she is excited to be able to provide the same services to producers in southwest Montana.

    AGRI-TREND Group of Companies welcomes Matt Ramage as a new AGRI-TREND® Manager – Agriculture Business - USA!

    Matt Ramage obtained a Master of Science degree in Agriculture degree in 2000 from Murray State University and afterwards spent seven years as a research scientist with Syngenta Seeds working on germplasm development for commercial temperate corn hybrids. He has previous experience as the site manager for Southern States Cooperative managing a retail operation servicing the agriculture community with services and solutions relating to precision agriculture.   While at Southern States Cooperative, Matt also accepted the challenges of creating a custom pesticide application profit center and an anhydrous ammonia distribution center.

    Matt also held a number of positions with Ag Connections over a six year period in both software sales and development, playing a role in the success of the adoption of their product line targeted at grains, oilseeds, fiber, fruit and vegetable crops.  Most recently, Matt served as Sales Director for Cengea Solutions, based in Vancouver, BC.

    Greetings From Argentina


    Agri-Trend Tours Argentina.  27 Agri-Trend Coaches and Farmers are travelling for two weeks in Argentina to gain insight on agriculture in this country.


    Visits will include farm field inspections, tour to ExpoAgro, agribusiness visits with companies such as Louis Dreyfus, Bunge, Monsanto, John Deere as well as visits with local institutions such as INTA.


    The days have been very full of activity, the food is fantastic and the Malbec is magnificent!

    AGRI-TREND GEO Solutions Inc. Welcomes New Geo-Coach, Chris Huolt!

    Chris grew up on a small grain farm near New Norway, AB.  He started his post secondary education at NAIT where he completed his diploma in Geomatics Engineering and then a B.Sc. in Geography from the University of Lethbridge.  After his education, Chris spent time in the oil and gas sector where he was a Survey Technician gaining experience using various RTK GPS systems.  From there he has spent the last 6 years as a GIS Analyst in the forestry and environmental industry where he used various GIS software to support soil, vegetative, and topographical analysis.

    Chris currently lives in Sherwood Park, AB with his fiancée Marsali and they are currently planning for their wedding later this year.  In his spare time he likes to play ball, hockey, and tries to master the game of golf.

    AGRI-TREND Agrology is pleased welcome Don Wysocki as our newest Senior Agri-Coach!

    Don Wysocki grew up on small farm in central Wisconsin and has 38 years experience as a Soil Scientist. He served 3 years as a Soil Scientist with the USDA Soil Conservation service. Don taught Agronomy and Soil Science courses for 8 years at Iowa State University. He has served as Extension Soil Scientist with Oregon State University at the Columbia Basin Agricultural Research Center, Pendleton, Oregon since 1986.

    Don currently is conducting extension programming and applied research on soil, water, and crop management in dryland cropping systems of the semiarid Pacific Northwest. Don is a recognized expert on PNW direct seed winter wheat cropping systems. Don has worked extensively with canola, mustard, camelina, and other oilseed crops to develop agronomic recommendations for these crops. This includes integrated research on tillage, fertility, residue management, rotations, and diversification of cropping systems. Don has published over 80 extension and experiment station articles on direct seed and dryland cropping in the PNW. He works with producer organizations, Extension agents, Natural Resource Conservation Service personnel, agricultural consultants, and Soil and Water Conservation Districts to get research information into the hands of farmers and other users. He speaks to 25 to 30 grower groups annually.

    In Don’s spare time he is a Volunteer Fire Fighter , soccer referee for 20 years, gardener, and enjoys woodworking. He has also has served as a youth coach and served on the board of the Soil and Water Conservation Society for 9 years.
