Agri-Trend Agrology Welcomes Kevin Giles as new Agri-Coach

Kevin received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (Plant Science) from University of British Columbia and his Master of Pest Management from Simon Fraser University. He also holds Professional Agrologist status with the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists.
He has spent the last 30 years in the agricultural industry working in British Columbia, Oregon, and Saskatchewan. During his career, Kevin has been involved in a number of different facets of agriculture including production, research, and consulting. His career has included working for government organizations such as British Columbia Ministry of Agriculture, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, and Department of Botany, University of British Columbia as well as operating in the private agricultural production sector. He was owner/operator of a consulting service for producers in British Columbia for twelve years before taking a position on the management team of a reforestation nursery in Saskatchewan. Most recently Kevin has been working in the Saskatchewan agricultural industry doing performance investigations of various products and crops which has given him good insight and experience with respect to prairie agriculture.
Having worked in a number of different cropping systems, his primary areas of expertise include plant diagnosis and crop protection as well as farm development and management. Kevin lives and works in the Saskatoon area and is looking forward to working with local producers to bring better agronomy and sound science to their operations to increase productivity and profitability.
